The Hork-Bajir Chronicles (mentioned)

"News that the Yeerks had attacked and seized a Hawjabran colony ship. They had attempted to infest the Hawjabrans, but had failed because Hawjabran brains are not centralized, but spread in small nodes throughout their bodies. They had left the Hawjabrans to die. Their ship's life support had been knocked out in the attack. An Andalite courier had come across the ship, drifting, with eight thousand Hawjabrans frozen in the vacuum of space."

The Hawjabrans are an alien race that the Yeerks once tried to make into Controllers. But it was impossible to do since Hawjabrans have several central nervous nodes located all over their bodies instead of a primary brain, making them useless for the Yeerks to infest. After they learned that Hawjabran couldn't be infested because of numerous central nervous nodes. In The Alien, Ax pointed out that the Enterprise-D from Star Trek: The Next Generation looked similar to a Hawjabran Freighter.
